Ariane Jacob, pianist - Short Biography

Born in 1967, Ariane Jacob belongs to the new generation of French pianists, gaining in 1989 her piano ¨Premier Prix¨at the C.N.S.M. Lyon in class of Eric Heidsieck.

 

Graduated at the Maria Canals piano International Competition, she is a keen chamber music recitalist, and is invited in France as in foreign countries: Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées (Paris), Ojai Festival (Los Angeles), Seoul Arts Center (Korea), Ishihara Hall (Osaka), Hamarikyu Hall (Tokyo), Roma Auditorium (Italy), Essen Philharmonie (Germany)...

 

She has recorded for Erato Schoenberg's chamber music and, partner of Philippe Bernold (flute) and Irène Jacob (narrator), a Debussy CD for Harmonia Mundi, unanimously greeted by the review, as her last record "Caprice", with Philippe Bernold and Philippe Berrod (clarinet) for Saphir productions.

 

Pianist and musical assistant at the "Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Lyon" under the direction of Kent Nagano (main recordings: Ariadne auf Naxos: solo piano, Virgin classics, the Rake's progress: solo harpischord, Erato), and at the "Opéra Comique" (Paris), she is teacher at the Paris CRR.
